Situated in the centre of the picturesque village of Marsden Yorkshire, easy to get to by public transport the Club provides comfortable surroundings and a convivial atmosphere, also providing a central meeting place for local Groups. We always welcome new members and visitors and try to provide a wide range of events and entertainments.
The origins of Marsden Conservative Club lie in the year of 1865 when a group of gentleman got together to plan for the General Election.
They met in various public houses and each others homes, until in 1908 they built and moved, into the existing building this was built and designed by local man James Sheard Kirk.
The Club supports several organisations which all hold weekly meetings.
The bar lounge is the clubs main room, and where most of the clubs weekly activities take place, once or twice a month we have some fantastic singers to entertain us. Please contact the club to find out what is on this month.
The newly named function room is a fantastic venue for parties, with its sprung floor which is perfect for dancing and can hold up to 100 guests.
On the same floor we can also provide you with a kitchen to serve food fully equipped with fridge cooker and sink.
Next to our Main room on the Ground Floor we have our snooker room, Newly carpeted (2017) it is separate to the main lounge, with 3 fantastic stain glass windows depicting the Yorkshire rose to separate both rooms.
Our Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 at £10.00 per year, in the knowledge of being in a safe friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Junior Membership 16-18 available on request.
